J. Hal Daughdrill III
Director; Chairman & Principal

Hal is Chairman and Principal of Diversified Trust. He is a founding shareholder of Diversified Trust and served as non-executive Chairman from its inception through 2003. He joined the company in our Atlanta office in 2007. Hal is integrally involved in designing and overseeing the hedge fund strategies maintained on the company’s investment platform. Previously, Hal was President and Chief Executive Officer of The Walker Companies, a family office with holdings in public securities, hedge funds, private equity, land and timber. At The Walker Companies, Hal originated, managed and raised funds from outside investors for four investment partnerships targeting select hedge funds and private equity funds. Prior to joining The Walker Companies, he was a Vice President of Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Hal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Memphis. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta, the Chief Executives Organization (CEO) and is a past member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He is a past Board Chairman of the McCallie School in Chattanooga, TN and the Mississippi Museum of Art Foundation.
